Getting Down and Dirty for a Good Cause

By Kirsty Robertson, sales and marketing manager, Urban Union

We are thrilled to be handing over £2,350 to Radio Clyde’s charity Cash for Kids this month! We raised the funds doing a sponsored circuit of the Muddy Muckers assault course in Cumbernauld on Friday 19th May.

Alongside our colleagues at Barton Willmore and Weber Shandwick, we were (literally!) getting down and dirty for a worthy cause. We completed a 2k sponsored mud run comprising of 22 fun, yet somewhat challenging, obstacles.

The work done by Cash for Kids is invaluable to families and young people across Scotland. They support the needs of underprivileged children in communities across the country so that every child can maintain their future aspirations and live up to their individual goals. An hour or two spent climbing, ducking and running through muddy water to raise money for them was well worth it!

Since our beginnings in 2011, Urban Union has strived to help those in the areas that we are so fortunate to work in. It was such a pleasure to work with a charity like Cash for Kids which invests so much time into these same communities.

We hope that the money we’ve raised will help towards the massive effort that all of the people at Cash for Kids put in every single day.

Two months on and we’ve just about got all of the mud washed off!
